Thank you all so much for your feedback to my last post I’m not fat… I know The Parentals really appreciate the advice. The scariest person ever Vet has always recommended a particular dry food, and most recently the low calorie version. They know I don’t like it, but have wanted to do what is best for my health based on what the vet has said…. they have decided to try other yummy foods which makes me one very happy kitty!! I’ll keep you posted on my hopeful weight loss 😉
You are so handsome, Oscar, we love you, sweet friend…Best of luck, sending you lots of kisses…Calle, Halle, Sukki
You definitely are not fat. I don’t trust your v-e-t.
Paws crossed that this new food approach helps you slim down!
Ask your humans to play with you more, then you can run off calories and eat MORE!!!
Oscar, my Mommeh used to “free feed” dry food. After we got Harley, she switched to a holistic vet, and he spent 45 minutes talking to her about feline nutrition. We eat a variety of wet food, switching between raw medallions (Instinct Nature’s Variety in chicken, rabbit, beef, venison, bison) and canned food (we like Weruva Mack and Jack and Steak Frites). We get fed once in the morning and once at night, and any uneaten food gets picked up after 30 minutes. Usually we have a big appetite and finish in less than 5 minutes. We get weighed on a baby scale about once a month to make sure we are not losing or gaining weight. Eliminating dry food has made us much healthier, and our poopies are small and non-smelly!
Oscar, we are soooo happy you are getting foods you like! Now make sure you get lots of playtime too…soon your Parents will be your slaves!
heh heh.
Oscar, I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.
Hey, Oscar. Just checking in. Hope you and your beans are all still hanging in and doing OK.
Hey, Oscar, did you lose too much weight? You disappeared. Hope you had a good 2011 and have a fun 2012.
I miss Oscie blogs!
